Человек выгуливал собак в поле, где паслось стадо коров с телятами. В общем, что там было, точно никто не знает, но судя по всему, собаки как-то напугали телят. Продолжение понятно каждому, кто в детстве читал Маугли.

Знаете, на самом деле коровы могли быть и без телят. Они вообще на собак очень нервно реагируют. И даже пол их, я думаю, здесь ни при чем.

Да я их вообще с детства боюсь. :-) Просто в статье говорится, что это было именно стадо с телятами.

иногда даже собак не обязательно привлекать -- когда на глухой дороге твою машину обступает стадо таких вот (http://phototravels.net/scotland/pcd0864/rum-highland-cattle-93.3.jpg) граждан вместе с их рогами, волей-неволей о смысле жизни задумаешься.

Mouse burns down house in revenge

A mouse wreaked revenge on a pensioner who tried to kill it by tossing it on to a bonfire. It scuttled back into the man's house and set the building ablaze.

Luciano Mares, 81, had been bothered by mice, so when he trapped the creature in his home he was determined to dispose of it.

"I had some leaves burning outside and threw it in the fire," said Mr Mares, of Fort Sumner, a village in New Mexico.

As planned, the mouse caught fire. But then it suddenly sprinted back towards the wooden house and ran beneath a window.

The fire, which took the efforts of 13 firemen over three hours to extinguish, destroyed the entire contents of the house.

Mr Mares is now staying at a local motel.
