irene221bВ нашем графстве есть очень удобный сайт, где школы сообщают о завтрашних закрытиях в связи с погодой. Надо сказать, что многие объявления отражают совершенно детскую радость авторов.
Делюсь креативом:
No yippees are allowed,
When the sky is full of cloud!
It saddens me to have to write,
That due to snow on our site,
PRS is closed today.
And tomorrow? Who can say!
I've consulted with the puppy from school;
He loves the snow but is no fool!
Temperature dropping: ice on the way,
Alfie, the lab says, 'Open? No way!'
With heavy snow, or even a trickle,
It leaves us in a sorry pickle.
The school is closed to alleviate danger,
So stay at home – but don’t be a stranger,
Study hard and check the VLE,
There’s a lot to do, just go and see!

Due to continued adverse conditions we will be closed again today, Thursday 7 January. Please check here regarding Friday. Keep on building those snow men!

This snow just will not go away,
It's really causing so much sorrow -
Let's hope it will be sunny tomorrow!

It is with deep regret - and despite the vociferous online protestations of the children - that I have been emotionally manipulated by a very small minority into closing the school for Thursday (!) Stay safe and warm.
