Иллюстрированный анекдот про блондинок, просто таки. "Нет, ну какая сволочь придумала переводить часы в 2 часа ночи?!"

Date: 2010-09-13 04:28 pm (UTC)My wife is an architect and she's spent several years working in a London architectural firm. I can totally agree with you that architects are a very peculiar public. And, being bright, she was even in position to give great advice to her superiours -- just for them to ignore it and doing everything as THEY fit right -- just because they are The Boss or The Man or The Owner. It was totally impossible to change their minds.
Eventually to prevent frustration I adviced her to quit :) She's happier now, definitely.
Things she told me they *come & demand* off their IT guys would be quickly deemed unreasonable in my company and with me. But then, everybody chooses for themselves.

That's how they stay in business, I guess...

So not unheard of is, when the Boss is really overproud, for more reasonable folks to just route all the information around the Boss, to actually complete the project at all and get stuff DONE instead of endless corrections as the Boss' right leg thinks fit.
I do feel for IT folks working for the architectural companies. Seriously :)
